Michel and Jude Speak at Brisbane Permaculture Exhibition

The Brisbane Permaculture Exhibition was at the Brookfield Showgrounds on August 14th and 15th.

Michel gave a talk on local seed networks in both Australia and Jude on "Mum and Dad's Army in the fight against GE" at the Permaculture Exhibition in Brisbane on Tuesday 14th and 10am on Wednesday 15th August.

Held at an outer suburban Showgrounds, the two days of workshops, talks and displays, it was a great opportunity for the swapping of ideas and practices in the field of Permaculture.

As a result, several more people are interested in starting up local seed networks.

Jude will explain how the war on GE relies on armies of mums and dads as much as on activists and protestors. Her talks are scheduled for 2pm on Tuesday and 11am on Wednesday.

The Exhibition is on during Show Week and features domestic Permaculture Lifestyles displays and Permaculture Enterprise stalls. There is a range of speakers, including Bill Mollison, founder of Permaculture.
