CHILDERS AREA SEED SAVERS
Seeds are swapped between members of the local Natural Farming and Gardening Group - meet every last Sunday of the month at different members' properties. |

Activities:
Informally seed and planting materials are swapped.
Visits to one another's gardens are organised. About 45 people turned up one time we had an event, through signs on the road and one announcement in the local paper.
A display of seeds in rough and cleaned form, an okra, some Russian garlic, dried snake beans in their pods, a little drawer, seives, Seed Savers pamphlets and handbook and information was set up in the Childers Library December 2001 and January 2002. It was very well received.
