PERMACULTURE NOOSA SEED SAVERS

Part of Permaculture Noosa. Started in 1999 after a local workshop with Jude Fanton:

Activities:
Cheryl grows seedlings from her home saved seeds, because new people say they would like them so as to start. She takes in a selection for people to swap or to buy for a dollar.

We have a stall and display at events, e.g., World Environment Day early June; end of July is Farming the Future; and Greatest Earth on Show in August.

Meetings:
PC Noosa meets in the RSL Hall in Cooroy every third Thursday of the month.
Once a month they have PC Energy Transfer which is like a working bee - they all do two hours voluntary work for a person in turn where they see some home saved varieties growing, or pass on planting material from their gardens.
Cheryl talks about seed saving at meetings.

Future plans: Cheryl would like a break and is looking for someone to take over the seed saving coordinator. She would like to grow more seedlings for people to make a good start with.
